You will note that there are no pages on this website devoted to most of the cartoon shows I've written.  This is not because I haven't gotten around to putting them up.  It's because I've blanked most of them from my memory.  (I did one series I could never even bring myself to watch.)

Garfield and Friends, however, is a show I very much enjoyed...and one of the few times the end-product sorta/kinda resembled what I'd imagined...which is not to say I wouldn't rewrite every one of 'em if I had the opportunity.  The cast was terrific, the artists and animators did a splendid job, the network left us completely alone and Jim Davis and Lee Mendelson somehow managed to infuse the project with a touch of class and excitement.

Anyway, the show's in syndication, now and forever, and negotiations always seem to be going on about doing more episodes.  Here's an article I wrote about the experience, a listing of episodes and a sample script...

And here's a picture taken at one of our cast 'n' crew parties featuring all the regular voice artists and some frequent guest stars.  At far left, back row, you have Gregg Berger (he does Odie and Orson), Thom Huge (Jon and Roy), Julie Payne (Liz and Lanolin) and Frank Welker (Bo, Booker and Sheldon).  In front of Frank and Julie are June Foray and Howie Morris.  Howie does Wade Duck, on and off the show.  The big guy in the back is Chuck McCann and the ladies in front of him are — left to right — Susan Silo and Tress MacNeilleGary Owens is next to Chuck, Neil Ross is in front of Gary and Stan Freberg is at right.  In the front are Jim Davis, M.E. and Lorenzo Music, who brilliantly supplied the voice of The Cat.
