Here are some squirrel pics taken on 5/9/03. The way it works is that we throw out a handful of peanuts and the battle
begins. Either a bluejay or a squirrel notices the distribution and races to see how many he or she can eat or hide before others move
in. The cheeks of the above squirrel were doing a mile a second as he (she?) raced to down a couple before the birds showed.

I think but do not guarantee this is the same squirrel. They hear a noise or sense someone approaching, and up the tree they
go.

This is definitely the same squirrel as the first picture on this page. This time, when he scampered up the tree, he took one of
the peanuts along and gnawed away on it as he posed for my camera. If you look back a couple of pages, you'll see that this is the same tree
that the hummingbird nest was in, and the same one that has the hummingbird feeder. Pretty busy tree out there.

Squirrel doing an impression of a gargoyle atop my garage. Cool.

I think this is the same squirrel as the one from two pictures up but I'm not sure. There's a broken branch in the tree and this
one likes to perch atop it and chew his peanuts, letting husks and shells flutter to the ground. Then he goes down and inspects all the husks
and shells to see if there are peanuts in them. I've done much the same thing with Sizzler salad bar.
